How old do you have to be to remember a Casio “onion” on your wrist? The beloved and indestructible G-Shock. Which, for the 80s, had an ultra-technological calculator and dozens of different tones, reminding you of the birthdays of loved ones. Well, the Huami Amazfit Neo is basically a GShock transported in a DeLorean for 2020.
Shocking, super radical!
It's not a pose: you get what you pay for: a retro experience. At least as far as the smartwatch itself is concerned. The retro smartwatch has a black-and-white LCD screen. And don't even think about a touchscreen: you control your Amazfit Neo with buttons on the edge. Just like in the good old days of José Sarney and fear of a Soviet nuclear attack.

Time tunnel clock (Disclosure)
The 21st century part is in the sensors and communication with the cell phone. Because the Neo has activity monitors, sleep monitors, step monitors, heart rate monitors, app notifications, a screen that activates when you pick it up. And, what the GShock already had in the 1980s, an alarm and a stopwatch.
It works through the Zepp app, for Android or iPhone. It even has a bit of a vaporwave look, but it doesn't compare to the mobile app.

Amazifit Zepp app, the 21st century part of the smartwatch
You don't have to replace the battery like you used to. In a concession to the future, the Amazfit Neo has a charger that takes 2,5 hours to charge for 28 days of use (the double of Ares, from the same brand).
How much do you pay for the time machine? On average: less than R$400. It is already available on MercadoLivre (but advertised as Xiaomi instead of Huami).
In short, the Amazfit Neo is a product more for those who are fans of a nostalgic style. Many people may not adapt to the way it interacts and the Jurassic display. It is not a top-of-the-line smartwatch. Who knows, it may please those who had a black and white screen on their last watch.
