Smartphones that come with chargers in the box may soon be a luxury. With the Apple removing essential accessories from the packaging iPhone 12 and asking users to buy one loader separately, it's not hard to imagine other manufacturers doing the same. Even Samsung, its main competitor, may soon remove the charger.
This is quite likely, as it makes the price of the final product go down. In addition, people can always use the charger from their previous phone, especially on Android smartphones, which do not use proprietary connectors, such as Apple.
And although Samsung has mocked iPhones without a charger so soon after its announcement, the company could very well choke on its laughter.

Samsung tweet taking down the iPhone 12, claims the charger is “Included with your Galaxy” (Twitter/Reproduction)
Rumors suggest that Samsung may also remove chargers from its devices starting in 2021. Could this happen as soon as the Galaxy S30 is released?

Will Samsung also do away with the charger?
The Android Authority website did a search with its readers. The question was simple and direct: “Do you believe that Samsung will remove the charger from its next flagships?” And the result was interesting. At the time of publishing our article, 1.139 votes had been counted. And 69,1% bet that Samsung will remove the charger from its phones.
Let's look at some facts. The Korean company has already backtracked on the headphone jack after provoking the decision by Apple removing it from the iPhone 7. After that, a number of Android smartphone manufacturers followed suit and this has become an annoying pattern in the smartphone world, barring a few exceptions.
Samsung has already removed the charger from the Galaxy S20 Ultra
Samsung has also set a precedent by asking users to buy additional chargers for its flagship or high-end smartphones. For example,To enable the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s ultra-fast charging capability, users had to shell out an additional $50 to buy a 45-watt charger. Sure, a 25-watt charger was included with the phone, but will that be the case with its next round of flagships?
Ultimately, this is something we can prepare for in 2021. Will the final price of the smartphone be worth it if Samsung removes the charger from the box? Will the price even go down? What if everyone else does the same? Will this also help the environment, since there will be one less component to dispose of in the future? Leave your opinion in the comments!
