All about the best cell phones

Corning has introduced the next generation of its famous ultra-resistant Gorilla Glass, Gorilla Glass Victus, which is coming to replace Gorilla Glass 6, and which will certainly be used in future high-end smartphones. Just as an example, Gorilla Glass 6 is on the new ROG Phone 3, released yesterday by Asus.

Gorilla Glass has been used in 8 billion devices, made by more than 45 brands. The company only launches a new generation when it considers that it has managed to significantly outperform its predecessor.

Drop Test The new glass was created with two basic missions: to be more resistant to falls and scratches. Thus, the main selling point of Gorilla Glass Victus is that it is capable of surviving intact falls of up to 2 meters onto hard surfaces such as concrete.

Scratch test Additionally, according to Corning, it is up to 2x more scratch resistant than Gorilla Glass 6, or up to 4x greater than competitors.

The release also says that the first company to use Gorilla Glass Victus will be Samsung, which will happen in the near future, but it won't be alone. Other companies are also working with Corning's new ultra-resistant glass, but their names have not yet been revealed.
