The iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max are expected to feature displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to the latest rumors. All new models in the iPhone 12 lineup are expected to feature OLED displays, but the Pro models are said to have a ProMotion display with a refresh rate of at least 120Hz.
The ProMotion display was first introduced a few years ago on the iPad Pro line, but on an LCD screen. This display varies the refresh rate between 60Hz and 120Hz depending on what is being played, and thus helps save battery, as it does on the iPad Pro.
The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max screens, measuring 5,4 inches and 6,1 inches, would be OLED made by BOE. The screens of the Pro models (6,1 and 6,7 inches) would also be OLED, but made by Samsung.
The Pro models should also feature a camera with a LiDAR sensor, as was already expected in last leak. In addition, they must have 3x optical zoom.
iPhone 12 should be smaller and iPhone 12 Pro will have a new blue color
In addition, another detail about the iPhone 12 line is that the entry-level model with a 5,4-inch screen should be much smaller than expected. It could be even smaller than the iPhone SE 2020, albeit with a larger bezel-less screen.
Another new feature would be a new navy blue color for the iPhone 12 Pro, which would replace the midnight green of the iPhone 11 Pro. In addition, according to reports, the Apple will leave aside the 64 GB capacity, from this year, all models will have at least 128 GB.
