Today two leaks posted on a Twitter profile showed what we can expect from entry-level smartphones Huawei y5p e Y6P, which are expected to be launched soon by the company. Soon after, Xiaomi officially launched both of them in Romania.
Huawei y5p
The cheapest model is the Y5P, which has a 5,45-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It doesn't have a notch or cutout, and the 5-megapixel front camera is located on the top edge. The bezel at the bottom is also quite large. On the back, it has an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash. It is 8,35 mm thick and weighs 144 grams.
The processor is a MediaTek Helio P22, and it has just 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of capacity, with a slot for a microSD card of up to 512 GB. The battery is 3020 mAh, and has 10-watt fast charging. This smartphone was made to cost little, and has the same specifications as the Honor 9S. It comes in black, blue and green versions.
Huawei y6p
The Y6P is more expensive, but in return, it has much more interesting technical specifications, starting with the 6,3-inch LCD screen. It has a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and an 8-megapixel front camera in a teardrop-shaped notch.
On the back, it has a triple camera setup. The main camera is 13 megapixels, and it also has a 5 megapixel ultra-wide and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. In addition, it also has a fingerprint reader on the back, a feature that was left out of the Y5P. The Y6P is 9,04 mm thick and weighs 185 grams.
The processor is the same as the entry-level model, a Helio P22, but it has 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of capacity, with the same slot for microSD cards of up to 512 GB. The battery has 5000 mAh and may have the same 10-watt charging or a faster one, as this has not been reported so far.
The Y6P has the same specifications as the Honor 9A, but with a different camera configuration (it has three, compared to the 9A's two). It will come in green, purple and black.
Pricing
Both smartphones are already being sold in Romania. The Huawei y5p costs 599 Romanian Lei, or about R$750. The Y6P It costs 799 Romanian Lei, or R$1001. Both have a launch discount of 200 Romanian Lei, or around R$250.
It is worth remembering that these smartphones will not have Google apps and mobile services, like other Huawei devices.
