The LG Velvet will only be officially unveiled on May 7, but it continues to make an appearance, this time in photos and a video taken at a store in South Korea. The images show the smartphone in real images, not renders, and give us a good idea of its real design.
The highlight of the device is the waterdrop design of the triple camera, in addition to the 3D Arc Design. With the photos, we can see how it will look in the hands of users.
Images confirm technical specifications
One of the images confirms several of the smartphone's specifications, which had also already been disclosed by LG. Another image shows what the LG Velvet Dual Screen cover will look like, which we also showed here first-hand. The image with the specifications shows a thickness of 7,9 mm and a weight of 180 grams.
The LG Velvet also features 5G connectivity, as it is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765G processor. In addition, it has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of capacity, which can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 2 TB.
The 4300 mAh battery has 10-watt fast and wireless charging, which had already been confirmed by the Wireless Power Consortium. The image also shows that it will be waterproof with IP68 certification, and that it will have a military resistance certification, which is possibly MIL-STD-810G.
One of the highlights of Velvet is its sound system with artificial intelligence, which has special functions for recording narration or audio interviews, removing background noise, as well as an ASMR function that increases the sensitivity of the microphones.
The 6,8-inch OLED display has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera that sits in a central notch. The triple camera setup has a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
