Black Shark, a Xiaomi company, has announced the launch of its Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro gaming smartphones in Europe starting May 8th. Both were launched in China in early March.
Both smartphones feature a Snapdragon 865 processor, with 8 or 12 GB of RAM, with 128 or 256 GB of capacity in the standard version and 256 GB in the 3 Pro version.
The Black Shark 3 has a 6,67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels). The Pro model has a 7,1-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. The displays have a 90Hz refresh rate and a 270Hz touch sampling rate. Both have a fingerprint sensor under their displays. The front camera has 20 megapixels with an F/2.2 aperture.
The triple camera is the same on both models, with a 64-megapixel main camera with F/1.8 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide (F/2.3) and a 5-megapixel depth sensor (F/2.2).
One big difference from the Pro model is the two physical top buttons, which Black Shark says have been tested with up to 300 presses.
The Black Shark 3 has a 4720 mAh battery with 65-watt fast charging, but only 30 watts in the 8 GB and 128 GB versions. The Black Shark 3 Pro has a 5000 mAh battery, also with 65-watt fast charging. Both models have magnetic charging on the back, with 18 watts.
In China, the basic version costs 3500 Yuan, or about $2719, while the Pro version costs 4700 Yuan ($3651). Prices for both in Europe have not yet been announced, but the company is making a launching promotion.
