TCL today introduced its new 10 series smartphones, the TCL 10, TCL 10 Pro and TCL 10 5G. The top of the line is the TCL 10 Pro (image above), although it does not have the best processor of the three models.

All three feature HDR10-capable displays and the NTXVision processor, which converts regular content to HDR. Let's take a look at each of them.

TCL 10 Pro

First, we have the 10 Pro, whose biggest highlight is its 6,47-inch AMOLED screen with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution. The front camera is 24 megapixels with F/2.0 aperture, and is located in a central notch. The screen also has an integrated fingerprint reader.

In addition to the aforementioned HDR10 and NTXVision, the 10 Pro's screen is Netflix certified.

Its quad camera has a 64-megapixel main sensor with F/1.17 aperture, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with a 123° angle. Completing the set is a 5-megapixel low-light sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.

The processor is a Snapdragon 675 with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory (UFS 2.1), as well as a slot for microSD memory cards of up to 256 GB. Its battery has 4500 mAh and has Quick Charge 3.0 charging (18 watts).

The 10 Pro comes in gray and green versions.

TCL10 5G

The 10 5G features the best processor in the 10 line (superior to the 10 Pro), the Snapdragon 765G with integrated 5G connectivity. In addition, it has the same 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory as the more expensive model. The battery is also 4500 mAh.

The screen is slightly larger, at 6,53 inches, but it's not AMOLED, but LCD. The resolution is the same, and the screen also has HDR10. The 16-megapixel front camera (F/2.2 aperture) is located in a cutout in the screen. In addition, the fingerprint reader is located on the back of the device.

The main camera is the same as the 10 Pro, with 64 megapixels, but the ultra-wide is 8 megapixels. In place of the low-light sensor, it has a 5 megapixel macro. The 2 megapixel depth sensor is the same.

The 10 5G comes in blue and gray versions.

TCL 10L

Finally, we have the 10L, which has the same 6,53-inch LCD screen and front camera as the 10 5G. The processor is a Snapdragon 665, also with 6 GB of RAM.

It has two flash memory options, such as 64 GB (eMMC) or 128 GB capacity (UFS 2.1), in addition to the microSD card slot. The battery is 4000 mAh, but does not have fast charging.

Besides the processor and battery, the difference between it and the 10 5G is that the main camera here has 48 megapixels, while the macro only has 2 megapixels. The depth sensor is the same. The 10L has versions in white and blue colors.

Pricing

Prices are $449 for the TCL 10 Pro and $249 for the TCL 10L, and both are expected to arrive in the second quarter of this year. The TCL 10 5G has been priced in Euros, and will cost 399 Euros, but its release date has not yet been revealed.

All three devices feature 3,5mm headphone jacks and what TCL calls Super Bluetooth for connecting to up to four compatible speakers at once. They run Android 10 with the TCL UI, and are expected to receive an update to Android 11.
